We have provided surgical services to generations of families in Cuyuna Range and Brainerd Lakes communities, and our ongoing commitment to surgical expertise has fostered a major regional surgical center for a wide variety of procedures. The experienced General Surgeons of CLMC perform over 100 procedures in addition to the many skills practiced by our Orthopedic and Gynecological partners, and three out of every four procedures we perform, from weight-loss (bariatric) surgery to vascular and abdominal surgeries, use minimally invasive techniques.
Our leadership in the development of the Minnesota Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIMIS), has created a need for four advanced-technology operating rooms to the Medical Campus in Crosby, which feature digital imaging and telesurgery. This progressive technology allows our surgeons to share solutions and advice with operating rooms across the globe. Our commitment to the advancement of medicine is shown by our commitment to medical education, as demonstrated by our fellowship in minimally invasive surgery. And we work to develop health care in other parts of the world, such as Project Haiti, which has helped create a state-of-the-art surgical center for the citizens in the rural highlands of that country.
